Evelyn A. Kleinhans, CPA
Evelyn holds a B.S. in Business Administration and a Master of Accounting, both from the University of Arizona. She has practiced public accounting since 1979. Prior to forming Kleinhans, Lashbrook, Butler & Davis, P.L.L.C., Evelyn was a partner with the Tucson firm of Stevenson, Jones, Imig, Holmaas, & Kleinhans, P.C. Evelyn's primary focus is on real estate planning, and federal income taxation of partnership, trusts, estates, limited liability companies and individuals. She has been published in Taxation for Accountants and Taxation for Lawyers, and has instructed graduate tax courses at the University of Arizona. She has also conducted seminars for various professional groups. Evelyn’s professional affiliations include the Southern Arizona Estate Planning Council, the Tucson Tax Study Group, the Arizona Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Carleen L. Lashbrook, CPA
Carleen holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Arizona. She has practiced public accounting since 1984, and was employed by KPMG Peat Marwick, Tucson, for nine of those years. Prior to beginning her career in public accounting, Carleen was employed by the Internal Revenue Service, and served in offices in Utah, Maine and Virginia. Carleen's primary focus is on federal income taxation of corporations and individuals, including specialization in employee benefits and retirement planning. Her professional affiliations include the Southern Arizona Estate Planning Council, the Tucson Tax Study Group, the Arizona Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Donald Butler II, CPA
Don received his B.S. in Accounting from Northern Arizona University. He has been in the practice of public accounting since 1981 with experience in various areas of tax, audit and accounting engagements. Through 2001 Don was employed in Tucson by a regional accounting firm where he managed quality control within the tax department and construction and employee benefit plan engagements. Since joining Kleinhans, Lashbrook, Butler & Davis, P.L.L.C. his primary practice has been in the areas of individual, partnership, corporate, and fiduciary taxation, and reviews of construction company financial statements. Don’s professional affiliations include the Arizona Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Southern Arizona Estate Planning Council, and the Tucson Tax Study Group.
Janet Davis, CPA, CFP
Janet earned a B.S. in Accountancy from the University of Illinois and an M.S. in Financial Planning from the College for Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado. She began her public accounting career in 1995 at Arthur Andersen and spent 12 years at a regional accounting firm. While working for this firm, she relocated to Tucson. Janet specializes in small business and individual income taxation. As a Certified Financial Planner, she works closely with her clients' outside financial advisors to coordinate tax and investment advice. Janet is currently an adjunct professor with California Lutheran University and is a member of the Financial Planning Association, National Association of Personal Financial Advisors, Southern Arizona Estate Planners Council, Planned Giving Roundtable and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She is an enthusiastic supporter of the Tucson Symphony Orchestra and currently serves as Treasurer on the Board of Trustees.
